Peggy Mintun
Peggy Mintun is an artist who hails from Colubus, Ohio, and has spent her formative years in Saegertown, PA. She has been involved in the arts community in Columbus, having organized several shows, participating on boards of art organizations, as well as managed a gallery space. Recently her focus is developing her business The Hermit Oracle. She lives in Columbus with her husband and black cats.
artist statement
Peggy's art is a communication to you about her life, but it is open to your interpretation. Most of her art is abstract, emotional canvases, where she lets nonrepresentational shape and intense color tell a story to evoke emotions. It is chaos. She uses a chaotic process to create abstract narratives about emotions. It is poetry in contrast to the prose of realism.
