I am a native Crawford County resident who strayed for 23 years during the 70s and 80s, then returned in the early 90s. It was during those years I adopted an affinity for one-inch-thick stained glass, suppressing my curiosity to learn more until 2010, when I actively began fabricating small pieces.
dalles
One-inch thick cast blocks of transparent stained glass used in faceted glass panels are called dalles. Pieces are cut from the dalles and then joined together with epoxy to create a flat panel. The edges of the pieces are then chipped or faceted to create scalloped surfaces that catch light
